All repairs are dealt with swiftly and efficiently according to our Top Brands advised warranties. Our repair centre is situated in JHB and has the ability to swop and replace circuit boards as per Manufacturers specifications.

In order to speed up the repairs/warranty process, it is suggested to return product to TPA Security Distributors as soon as possible:

  1. Product needs to be booked in at the relevant Branch
  2. Branch to book-in with relevant repair slip
  3. Defect product needs to be returned to Repair Department
  4. Repair Department to asses defective product
  5. Defective product to be repaired/swopped out after evaluation

The process, should take approx. 48 hours from receipt of the Repair Department. Please note the lead-time provided does not include transportation time to and from Repair Department as well as delays at branch level.

Make sure you DVR is setup on “obtain IP address automatically under “setup” followed by “network”. Next, you need to proceed to “NAT” under the same menu. Enable NAT. Once done, you can scan the QR code of the DVR via the APP under “setup” followed by “information”.

The “welcome wizard” is a nice feature forcing installers to do basic settings such as date and time, network and recording. If the installer forgets to disable, you can enter “setup” followed by “basic”. You can remove the tick out of “startup wizard”.

Your TPA/TVT DVR display resolution is set too high for the monitor. You have to turn down the resolution by going into “setup” followed by “basic” settings. Under basic setting you will find “video output” drop down menu that needs to be adjusted.

As defaults all TPA/TVT DVRs come pre-setup to record on motion. Firstly, check if the unit has a compatible HDD under “setup” and then “disk management”. If the unit detects the HDD, then you must just format the drive by clicking on the format button.
